Safety in the Sun
On Thursday 4th May the Primary 5 children got to be 'Sun Scientists' for the morning as they took part in a Health workshop .Louise from Cancer Focus N.I. paid us a visit and gave everyone some very useful advice on how to enjoy this beautiful weather in safety.
During her visit Louise talked about the effects of sun on all different skin tones, the importance of using sun cream and how the vitamin D from the sun can help our skin stay strong.
Before she left, Louise carried out an experiment with the help of some eager volunteers. Everyone went away with a bracelet of UV beads and a useful way to remember what to do to stay safe in the sun.
